Prep Information Evening

Primarily for parents/carers, this evening event is your introduction to Prep at BAC! Discover our school values and the supportive Prep environment where we give our children the best start to their educational journey. An information session will provide you with the basics on Prep at BAC, and how to know whether your child is ready for Prep. Children are welcome to attend, and supervision is provided. You do not need to have applied for Prep at BAC to attend this event. Usually held in March or April.

Prep Open Day

Part of our annual series of Open Days, our Prep Open Day is especially for those interested in Prep at BAC. Meet our Prep teachers and Principal/Deputy Principal (Primary) and see learning in action as you tour our Prep classrooms and the rest of the school with our volunteer student tour guides. Usually held in May, you do not need to have applied for Prep at BAC to attend this event and all families are welcome to attend regardless of their year of entry.

Prep@BAC - Pre-Prep Experience Days

Held between June and August, our Prep@BAC experiences (for children eligible for Prep the following year) are an opportunity to meet our teachers, become familiar with our learning spaces, and to experience life and learning as a Prep student at BAC! You do not need to have applied for Prep at BAC to attend this event. These events are for parents/carers to experience with their child.

worship@BAC: Week of Worship

Join us for praise, worship, creative performances, and an inspirational message from our guest speaker at one of the absolute highlights of our school year - Week of Worship! Usually held in May, this event is open to all families who are interested in Prep at BAC, regardless of their year of entry.

prep@BAC #1: Library and Craft

Visit our library for a story, fun activities, and crafts with our Librarian and our Prep teachers! Usually held in June, this event is open to children who are eligible for Prep the following year.

Join us for music, singing, and games with our music teacher, PE teacher, and our Prep teachers! Usually held in July, this event is open to children who are eligible for Prep the following year.

prep@BAC #3: Classroom Visit

Experience a morning in the life of a Prep student at BAC! Our Prep teachers will host a morning of fun and activity in our dedicated Prep Centre. A concurrent information session will be held for parents/carers while the children experience their classroom visit. Usually held in August, this event is open to children who are eligible for Prep the following year.

Prep Orientation Morning

This event is your child's opportunity to experience a morning as a Prep student! They will meet other pre-Prep children, enjoy our dedicated Prep/Year 1 play area, and be supported by our Prep teachers as they take this first step into the classroom as a pre-Prep student. Usually held in November, you must have applied for Prep at BAC in the following year to attend this event. Parents/carers are invited to a meet and greet with our Principal, Deputy Principal (Primary) and other staff while the children attend the orientation morning.

Step Up to Prep Morning Tea

This is the final opportunity for our pre-Prep students to get to know each other before becoming Prep students in January! Join our Prep teachers, Principal, and Deputy-Principal and other Prep 2027 families for morning tea. This event is for children who are enrolled for Prep at BAC in 2027, and is for parents/carers to experience with their child. Usually early December in the last week of the school year.

Prep Connect

This briefing will give you all the information you need as a parent/carer to prepare for the first day of Prep. From where to put their bag to where you will pick them up in the afternoon, taking a final look at the classrooms and the school groups will help you and your child feel organised ahead of their first day. This event is for parents/carers and children who are starting Prep in the upcoming term, and is for parents/carers to attend with their child. Usually held during the week before school commences in January.
