Join us for a fun, friendly, relaxed morning every Wednesday during the school term, from 9:00-11:00am at Mt Gravatt Seventh-day Adventist Church, for children aged 1-5 years.
About Bright Sparks Playgroup
Bright Sparks is run on every Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00-11:00am during term time by one of BAC's qualified teachers, supported by volunteers from the Mt Gravatt Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Our playgroup is a great opportunity to meet new people, make friends, play and learn, and become part of a community.
Bright Sparks offers a mix of organised activities and free play, including:
- playdough, small toys such as blocks and cars, and sensory tables to which contribute to the development of motor skills.
- songs with movement, instruments and actions.
- a story and themed craft activity.
- morning tea (fruit and crackers will be provided at 10:30am, and hot drinks and biscuits will be available throughout for parents and caregivers).
- a shared pack-up, which encourages responsibility and independence.
While we will have a teacher and volunteers on hand, the supervision, behaviour management and duty of care for each child remains with the attending parent or caregiver.
Age range: Our activities are aimed at children from 1-5 years of age. A baby mat will be available for children under the age of 1, but no focused activities.
Bookings
Booking: Please RSVP online on the Play Matters website. We can cater for up to 25 children and once this capacity is reached we will be unable to accept any more children that day - registering will help secure your child's place each week!
Cost: from $5.00 per child, per week (or $10 per family, for 2 or more siblings).
