Pre-Prep Experience: Library, Music, and Sports
  • Date: Wednesday, 29 October 2025

Children enrolled at BAC for Prep 2026 are invited, with their parents/carers, to visit our library for a story, and to meet our music and PE teachers for songs and games. This opportunity allows our pre-Prep children to meet some of the other teachers they will meet in their first week at school, and to become familiar with our library, which they will visit as a class. This event is for children who are enrolled for Prep at BAC in 2026.

Step Up to Prep Morning Tea
  • Date: Monday, 1 December 2025 (9:15-10:00am)

This is the final opportunity for our pre-Prep students to get to know each other they become Prep students in January! Join our Prep teachers, Principal, and Deputy-Principal and other Prep 2026 families for morning tea. This event is for children who are enrolled for Prep at BAC in 2026, and is for parents/carers to experience with their child.

Prep Connect
  • Date: usually held during the week before school commences in January

This briefing will give you all the information you need as a parent/carer to prepare for the first day of Prep. From where to put their bag to where you will pick them up in the afternoon, taking a final look at the classrooms and the school groups will help you and your child feel organised ahead of their first day. This event is for parents/carers and children who are starting Prep in the upcoming term, and is for parents/carers to attend with their child.

2026 Events
Prep Information Evening
  • Date: usually held in March or April

Primarily for parents/carers, this evening event is your introduction to Prep at BAC! Discover our school values and the supportive Prep environment where we give our children the best start to their educational journey. An information session will provide you with the basics on Prep at BAC, and how to know whether your child is ready for Prep. Children are welcome to attend, and supervision is provided. You do not need to have applied for Prep at BAC to attend this event.

Prep Open Day
  • Date: usually held in May

Part of our annual series of Open Days, our Prep Open Day is especially for those interested in Prep at BAC. Meet our Prep teachers and Deputy Principal (Primary) and see learning in action as you tour our Prep classrooms and the rest of the school with our volunteer student tour guides. You do not need to have applied for Prep at BAC to attend this event.

Prep Stay and Play
  • Date: usually held in August

This event is your child's opportunity to experience a morning as a Prep student! They will meet other pre-Prep children, enjoy our dedicated Prep/Year 1 play area, and be supported by our Prep teachers as they take this first step into the classroom as a pre-Prep student. You do not need to have applied for Prep at BAC to attend this event, but your child will need to be eligible to attend Prep the following year (they must turn 5 on or before 30 June in the year they start Prep). Our Stay and Play is for the children only.
