Incredible ATAR Results for BAC Graduates

BAC graduate Ethan H received the great news that he had achieved a perfect score in his Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) last week. Invited to unveil his results at the Queensland Tertiary Admission Centre, he discovered that out of more than 27,000 students from the Queensland Year 12 cohort, he was one of just 34 with a top rank of 99.95.

Ethan plans to study engineering next year and shared this advice for future school leavers: “Focus on Year 11. Even though it doesn’t count towards an ATAR, it really helps you be ready for Year 12... And just revise throughout the year. Don’t leave it all for the last month and try to cram.”

Fifty percent of Queensland graduates were ATAR-eligible in 2023 (compared with 81% at BAC), after choosing a tertiary pathway for their senior Secondary years, which primarily features academic subjects. We acknowledge that the ATAR and tertiary studies course is only one future pathway, but we celebrate BAC's exceptional results. The following students should also be congratulated:

  • Oliver M and Sanuka R achieved 99+
  • Erin B, Mian G, Joshua N, Melody R, Callum S, Natalie W, and Lucy W achieved 93+
  • 45% achieved above 80*

Congratulations to all of these students. You have been rewarded for your hard work over the past two years. Your ATAR results pave the way for some wonderful tertiary offers, which will be released by QTAC on Thursday.
