P&F Press Release 02 | 19

The P&F Press Release is all about how we, as a community, can be a platform and a voice for the positive growth of our College community. We are here to support the College and make a difference to the development of every student within our school. Below, you will read about some of our Mother's Day plans for this term.

That time of the year has come around again! It’s time to celebrate the wonderful mothers and female carers of BAC.

A range of gifts has been selected so that your child can shop for Mother’s Day and make Mum’s gift a special surprise. We know just how busy most parents are so – even better – no extra trip to the shops!

With very reasonable prices between $2 and $20, this year’s gift range includes fashion items, trinkets and lifestyle gifts, beautifully handcrafted cards made by BAC grandma Angelina Peters, and gift bags guaranteed to delight. Due to popular demand, we have included some Christian-themed items in our range this year.

Please send money with your child for the following Mother’s Day stalls:
• Ocean Room (ELC) Mother’s Day – Wednesday, May 8
• Primary Mother’s Day Stall – Tuesday and Wednesday, May 7 and 8
• Secondary Mother’s Day Stall – Thursday, May 9

Selecting a gift for mum is an act of kindness that children delight in.

The P&F would like to invite all BAC mums to High Tea in the Student Centre on Friday, May 10 at 8:30am. (Please refrain from wearing stilettos on the polished floors of our Student Centre.)

Who can resist the company of other wonderful women? It’s a great opportunity to catch up or meet new friends and take some time off just to be ‘you’.

Our annual Mother’s Day Breakfast is more and more popular every year so make sure you don’t miss out.

RSVP BY FRIDAY MAY 3 to the front office or online by clicking here

This event is a gift to our BAC community from the Parents & Friends Association, so a small donation on the day to support the work we do would be greatly appreciated.

Many of the P&F events would not go ahead without the time and willing hands of our generous volunteers. Thank you, volunteers!

There are three main ways that you can contribute to our community:

  1. Sign up on our volunteer signup sheet for upcoming P&F events
  2. Join us at our monthly P&F meetings. The next meeting will be held on Monday, May 13 at 7:00pm in the Primary LRC. (We’d love to see you there!)
  3. Support our fundraising endeavours

When we work together, everyone's stronger.

Please contact P&F president Michelle Milzewski for further information or to ask any questions about how you can get involved with the Brisbane Adventist College Parents & Friends Association.
