Instrumental Tuition Program

Instrumental tuition lessons at BAC operate in term blocks, at a term fee of $320. Fees are invoiced and collected by the College finance office as per the due date expressed on the invoice. Enrolment from term to term and year to year is automatic. Lessons will cease upon the completion of an Un-enrolment Form (attached below) or if lesson fees are not paid by the due date expressed on the invoice.

If you wish to assess your child’s suitability for particular instruments, please contact our Head of Music, Miss Krysten Rowe on krowe@bac.qld.edu.au or enrol your child in instrumental tuition lessons by completing the enrolment form below and submitting it to the Administration Office Attention: K Rowe, Head of Music.

We have a thriving curricula and co-curricular music program at Brisbane Adventist College, with many opportunities to perform.

2019 Results, QUOTA International Eisteddfod

Once again, BAC Ensembles achieved fantastic results at the QUOTA International Beenleigh Eisteddfod in 2019.

  • Primary Choir: (skills choir category) 2ND
  • Primary Choir: (choral showcase category), 3RD
  • Primary String Ensemble: 1ST
  • Secondary Celtic Ensemble: 2ND
  • Secondary String Ensemble: 2ND
  • String Quartet (Bridie, Elihon, Deadyn, Mattia) Section 410 - Instrumental Duo/Trio/Quartet: 3RD
  • String Quartet (Sarah, Kai, Sanuka, Bryleigh) Section 410 - Instrumental Duo/Trio/Quartet: 2ND 

Several students also participated in piano solos, voice quartets and duets.

2018 RESULTS, QUOTA INTERNATIONAL EISTEDDFOD

In 2018, Brisbane Adventist College musicians entered a variety of ensemble, small group and individual categories at the QUOTA Beenleigh International Eisteddfod. We placed in every category entered:

  • 30% of students were awarded Highly Commendable 
  • 30% of students received 3rd place 
  • 17% of students received 2nd place 
  • 23% of students received 1st place.
