Good communication that is clear and understood is important to us all.

Communication and information shared between you and your child's teacher will be via SEQTA Engage. Secondary-level students will communicate directly with their teacher via SEQTA Learn

Download and follow the steps in the PDF below to set up the SEQTA apps. An email is sent to Secondary parents at the beginning of the year (or soon after enrolment) notifying that they have one week to set up the apps before their provision expires.

This is the part of the website that holds information directly related to your child's attendance at Brisbane Adventist College. You will find the MyBAC tab at the top right-hand corner of the website. It holds relevant information on the following topics:

2. FastNews Friday

FastNews Friday will drop in your email inbox every Friday afternoon. It is a regular, reliable, relevant, and up-to-date source of information about school events, new processes you need to be aware of and, occasionally, a snippet of good news. Usually it will relate to the fortnight and/or term to come.

Your FastNews Friday email will be easy to scan so that you can identify the parts that are relevant to you, and make it easy to understand the steps you need to take next

NOTE: If you wish to update the College database with an email address that is better for this purpose, please send details to the College. If you receive emails into your SPAM folder or another folder instead of your 'Primary' inbox, you may wish to change your email settings.

3. BAC App

If you have a smartphone, download the ‘Brisbane Adventist College’ app from Google Play or the App Store. Using the app, you can communicate vital information to the College and receive important information and news.

  • ABSENTEE: Report absences

  • Search 'Brisbane Adventist College' from your Facebook account
  • ‘Like’ the page and make sure you’re ‘following’ us
  • NEWS: You'll see a wide range of interesting snippets about activities and events at the College
  • ARTICLES: You'll see interesting articles relevant to you as parents and of interest to our College community
  • IMPORTANT NOTICES: You'll see notices telling you about important events or changes at the College
  • MESSAGING: While emailing to reach the administration team is generally your best method of communication on administrative matters, another option for contacting us is via Messenger, which is monitored by our communications team.
  • NOTE: Facebook won't always show you posts from BAC. To GET MORE BAC POSTS INTO YOUR NEWSFEED view our posts regularly, like/share and/or comment on our posts. This tells your Facebook algorithm that the Brisbane Adventist College page is important to you (and we welcome your interaction!).

5. Instagram 
  • SEARCH: Find brisbaneadventistcollege (all one word, all lowercase) from your Instagram account
  • FOLLOW: The account we are using has the BAC logo. Click 'follow' to receive posts from us in your feed
  • SNAPSHOTS & SNIPPETS: You'll find snippets and snapshots of BAC students and staff. All the fun and good stuff 
  • A FAVOUR? Please ‘love’ our posts!

6. Student Travel Manager (BAC private bus service) 
  • Download the STM Parent App from your app store.
  • Upon downloading the app, you will see a login screen. To register, enter your email.
  • Your email must be the same as the one you have registered with the school in order to receive the 6-digit code by SMS. If you do not receive this code, please contact Support Services Manager Anthony Whyatt on and he will help you set it up.
  • Create a password.
  • You will then need to login using your registered details before you can begin using your app.

How do I inform the school of my child's absence?

There are two options:
1. Brisbane Adventist College App: ‘Absentee’ tile
2. Website: Report an Absence  

Who should I reach out to if I can't find the information I need? 

Firstly, narrow down the type of information are you looking for:

  1. Is it a question your child’s teacher can answer? If so, the Parent Portal on SEQTA allows you to ask your child’s teacher any questions you might have.
  2. Is it a question about a school event? If so, and it's not urgent, you can email the school at If it is urgent, call our lovely receptionist Karen on (07) 3347 6444 and she will either answer your question or direct you to the right person.
How do I get hold of the school in an emergency?

If you need to get urgently in touch with the school or your child during school hours, call the Administration Office on (07) 3347 6444. 

If there is an emergency at the school, the College will send out information via several channels. These may include:

  • The BAC parent app
  • Facebook
  • A call or text to your nominated emergency phone number if the emergency involves your child
  • An email to your nominated email address during the emergency if circumstances require you to have vital information 
How will I know if the BAC Bus is running late?

This year, the College has introduced a new BAC Bus Travel Management System. It enables convenient communication between the school and home about any issues of concern like traffic conditions or missed buses. 

How do I tag/untag year levels on the BAC parent app? 

You will automatically receive notices from every part of the College (from the ELC to Year 12) unless you narrow down which year levels you wish to subscribe to. 

Notices are often relevant to the whole school and therefore not classified for one particular year level. Because the Early Learning Centre is entirely separate, untagging ELC will ensure you do not receive notices from them.

To tag/untag subscriptions:

  • OPEN your Brisbane Adventist College App
  • CLICK on ‘Subscriptions’. It will ask you to select your tags. 
  • CLICK on the tile that says the following with a tick to the right-hand side: Year Levels (14) ELC, Prep, Year 1, +11
  • You will come to a selection grid where you can untag the subscriptions you do not want to hear from

NOTE: If you untag every year except the year level/s your child/ren are in now, you will need to re-subscribe to their new year levels at the beginning of each year.
