NAPLAN Results for 2011
Schools are complex organisations and it is necessary to look at a range of factors in deciding how well they are performing. There are a great many variables from year to year and from school to school. Therefore, when looking at the results from NAPLAN it is important to consider:
NAPLAN measures students across five areas: numeracy; reading; writing; spelling; and, grammar and punctuation. Individual student results are averaged to produce a school average, which is then compared to both the Queensland average and the National average for each cohort in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9.

When these results are considered together in total, BAC students outperformed the state average in all five areas of the NAPLAN testing, with our students exceeding the national average in numeracy, writing and spelling!
