Prep to Year 6 Learning

At BAC, we began our journey towards the Australian Curriculum several years ago. This included the relocation of our Years 7s to the Secondary Campus and their assimilation into our high school programme. We also began to bring our curriculum into line with other states. We now find ourselves well placed to introduce the Australian Curriculum in the areas of Maths, English and Science, with little disruption to your child’s education.

Our programme includes the study of the following curriculum areas:

  • Encounter (Bible Programme)
  • English (transitioning to Australian Curriculum in 2012)
  • Mathematics (transitioning to Australian Curriculum in 2012)
  • Science (transitioning to Australian Curriculum in 2012)
  • Technology
  • SOSE
  • The Arts: Visual Arts, Drama (integrated); Music (Music specialist teacher)
  • Information and Communications Technology
  • Health
  • Physical Education & Dance (P.E. specialist teacher)

Distinctive offerings in Primary at BAC

As part of our regular programme, our students participate in the following:

  • Week of Spiritual Emphasis

BAC students are encouraged at all times to use their talents and enjoy learning new things. Students are given the opportunity to participate in a range of other fun and exciting activities aimed at further developing their skills in a variety of areas:
